Our Story
A Family-Friendly Steakhouse
Established in 1973, The Branding Iron Supper Club is a Wisconsin Rapids landmark. The Powell family owned and operated it for 37 years, building it into the fun-loving Northwoods gem that locals and tourists have come to love. Today, Austin and Caytlynn Hansen are the new family faces of your favorite supper club — proud to carry that tradition forward.
The Dining Room
We’ve kept The Branding Iron as comfortable as can be — a warm, rustic room with a friendly family atmosphere where you and yours can sit back, relax, and enjoy a beautiful dinner. Start with our famous salad bar, and don’t forget to stop in on Fridays for our fish fry!
The Patio
Relax outside on our outdoor patio during the summer and fall, where we offer occasional live music for your listening pleasure — the perfect spot to unwind with an ice-cold Old Fashioned and a fantastic meal.
Our Family
We’re Austin and Caytlynn Hansen — residents of Rome and the new owners of the Branding Iron. Austin is your chef, and between Caytlynn and her mom we bring more than twenty years of combined experience in this industry. Opening our own restaurant and bar together has always been our dream, and we can’t wait to share our very best with you. Come have fun with us — we look forward to your visit!
